Doddington Hall Farm Shop and Cafe

Thursday 4th November 2010

On Thursday 4th November last year Doddington Hall had their annual Meet The Producers event.
Truly Homemade were there!
In fact we baked all their Christmas Cakes for 2010.

We sold all sorts of sizes. 4"x2" Small Rich Dark Fruit Cakes, 6" Cakes baked in their cases and finished off with our Gorgeous Fine Cognac Glaze before being decorated with either marzipan and icing or with cherries, pecan and brazil nuts.

Also available were the Gift Cakes in their own clear lidded tins; They made perfect gifts at Christmas time for someone special.

Taste of Lincolnshires Christmas Food and Drink Fayre.

Held within the Epic Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground the aromas all around you are fantastic. The event included cookery demonstrations from Rachel Green who was kind enough to mention my Sumptuous Christmas Cakes and also passed around some tasters.

Truly Homemade were unable to make it this year but felt present in spirit!

Lincoln Christmas Market

Lincoln Christmas Market

December 2011

In 2009 we attended our first Lincoln Christmas Market. This magnificent event has been running since 1982 and is a very popular event with visitors from all over the UK and beyond.

Pitched within the walls of Lincoln Castle, dressed in Victorian costume this was a fabulous start to Christmas. Pictured here is my son Bob, my very favourite Truly Homemade photograph!

Please call 01522 888964 for details of the Lincoln Christmas Market 2011.
